Attorney Linda Luna

Linda Luna is the Managing Principal at Luna Law Corporation, and focuses her practice in employment law and protecting employee's rights. She has successfully represented a wide variety of employees, from executive management to staff, who work in a wide variety of industries. She has assisted these individuals by resolving cases pre-litigation or pursuing litigation for a wide variety claims, including illegal discrimination, harassment, defamation and wrongful termination in state and federal court and in administrative hearings before the EEOC and FEHA. Ms. Luna is fluent in Spanish.

Litigation Experience:

Linda’s legal background includes experience in civil litigation. She has worked as a litigation Associate for respected litigation law firms in Orange County which represented major insurance companies and businesses, where she focused her practice on employment law, personal injury and class actions and litigated matters by taking cases to trial. Ms. Luna’s experience also includes serving as Corporate Counsel for the Legal and Corporate Affairs department of a major international airline for the United States and Canada, where she oversaw outside counsel and matters ranging from class action litigation to employment law matters, in addition to contract drafting and review for business units in North America and Europe. This corporate experience allows Ms. Luna to anticipate a defense perspective to assertively prosecute her client’s claims.

Education:

Linda obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton. While there, Linda was elected to serve as the Executive Vice President for the Associated Students and was invited to participate in the prestigious Leon and Sylvia Panetta Institute for Public Policy. Further, she was part of the University’s New York City National Model United National delegation that won the Most Distinguished Delegation Award.

Linda received her Juris Doctor from Chapman University, School of Law in 2005. Ms. Luna was a recipient of the Provst Law Academic Scholarship. Further, Ms. Luna served on the editorial board of Nexus Law Journal. While in law school, Ms. Luna also completed a study abroad at the Universidad de Cantabria in Santander, Spain where she studied international legal negotiations, intellectual property, amongst other courses.

Edward Lara

LITIGATION EXPERIENCE

Edward Lara is Of Counsel to Luna Law Corporation. Mr. Lara is a skilled litigator and has handled a wide variety of matters involving diverse areas of law, including employment, business and commercial law, entertainment, copyright, trademark, insurance, and elder abuse law. After being admitted to the California State Bar in 2000, he has spent several years practicing in large prestigious firms in West Los Angeles, a boutique litigation firm in Long Beach, and his own private practice. Mr. Lara has experience representing a wide variety of individuals in the employment, entertainment and business industry in all levels of litigation.

EDUCATION:

Mr. Lara is a year 2000 graduate of Columbia University School of Law in New York City. While at Columbia, Mr. Lara served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Alex Kozinski of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Lara also served as the Vice President of the Latin American Law Student Association and was a staff editor for both the Columbia Business Law Review and the Columbia Human Rights Law Review.

Mr. Lara graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1997 with a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology. While at UC Berkeley, Mr. Lara was a California Alumni Association Leadership Scholar and a Philanthropy Chair with the Mortar Board National Senior Honors Society.

Ms. Freeze focuses exclusively on employee rights, working to save employees' jobs and hold employers accountable for wrong personnel decisions. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Freeze worked for several big law firms representing management and developed expertise in employment law. Ms. Freeze has substantial experience representing clients in discrimination and harassment disputes involving disability, age, race, sex, leave of absence, FMLA, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, and for unpaid compensation and benefits. She has substantial experience vigorously defending employee rights, drafting employment and settlement agreements, independently supervising cases, calculating settlement ranges and managing employment litigation. Ms. Freeze recovered over million dollars in settlements and verdicts for her clients.

As part of her practice, Ms. Freeze represents employees in state and federal courts throughout California, as well as in administrative proceedings, such as EEOC or DFEH. She is familiar with human resources procedures, business programs for employee recruitment, processing, orientation, performance evaluation systems, and employee counseling.
